Jeff Holmwood

Jeff Holmwood has studied art glass at the Albert College of Art and Design, and taught at both Canada's Red Deer College, and the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington State. He is best known for his signature series of works--the "Vortext Vessels." This series integrates simple forms with a complex technique that results in the swirling pattern on the piece. A cane pick up is put on one blow pipe and twisted to a 90-degree angle. A second pipe is used to create the axis vortex, allowing the pattern to open.
