Dan Bergsma has been blowing glass in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade. In his
home studio, he creates beautiful and functional vases and flutes in the Scandinavian
Glass blowing traditional style. The features of this Optic Vase are many and varied - It’s fairly
shallow, and that makes it just the right dimensions for a mantelpiece or narrow shelf.
 It’s usable - just make sure to use room temperature water when you are arranging your flowers.
It’s an illusion - the "quilted" effect you see is achieved by twisting a handful of lines
 over one surface - the lines on the opposite side of the vase create the "squares" you see!
