 His graceful flutes remain one of the best values we have seen in a larger piece of Glass Art. This particular selection is a perfect example of the traditional Scandinavian glassblowing techniques that artists in the Northwest have adapted as their own. Using gravity to shape the flowing edges, Dan also used layering to produce the exterior surface colors, and a “fuming” technique to produce the rich, almost metallic interior surface. This piece can also be displayed on its side for a more sculptural effect.
