Naoko Takenouchi is one of our top
glassblowers. She currently resides in Vancouver, BC
(Just a hop, skip and a jump from our Seattle Gallery) with
her husband and a couple of very cute cats. These
vessels are from her renowned "Twig Series". The
delicate neck of the vessel is pierced by a hand-forged
steel "Twig". Palladium leaf is applied to the
exterior of the vessel, and designs are precision
sandblasted onto the front and back. The entire vessel
is then sandblasted for the soft finish you see here.
The size of these pieces are perfect for shelving or
Etageres.
